Dr. Trane received his medical degree from the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine in 1990. After graduation, he started residency in Surgery at the University of Minnesota Hospital and subsequent residency in Urology at the University of Texas at Houston from 1994 – 1996. Dr. Trane then switched to Radiology and completed a Diagnostic Radiology Residency at the University of Cincinnati in 2001. Dr. Trane was the Chief Fellow in Pediatric Radiology at Children’s Hospital Medical Center - Cincinnati, Ohio from 2001 – 2002.
Dr. Trane has served with the United States Surgeon General as a member of the Interagency Committee on Smoking and Health. His interests are 3D imaging, musculoskeletal and body MRI, and consultation in Pediatric Radiology at St. John's Hospital in Springfield, Illinois.
He is a Board Certified by the American Board of Radiology and has a Certificate of Added Qualifications in Pediatric Radiology.
Dr. Trane joined Central Illinois Radiological Associates in December 2010 after working at the Gundersen Clinic in western Wisconsin.
